July 24, 201213 yr 1. Could you please add option of voice of captain or first officer announcing the level of flaps when increased or decreased. I find it extremly distracting and inconvenient to turn and look at the tiny flap indicator in the VC. Especially when hand flying. 2. ^ Also for gear deployment and retaction would be helpful. 3. This last one involves trim. I think this is a fair request considering we not only fly lonewolf (as of time of typing), but arent actually sitting in cockpit with full awareness in every sense. Could there be an option to have displayed on either the PFD or ND the trim levels for rudder, aileron and elevator. I realise trimming is probably a 'feel' thing but having these displayed would I feel would increase my awareness of what the aircrafts control surfaces are doing.
July 24, 201213 yr As long as those displays are optional but I doubt the trim levels will be displayed as they are not displayed on the real aircraft (if you really want the feature then the A320 is your best bet). As for gear ops you should be able to tell from sounds alone but I do agree that FO call outs for flaps would be nice. Alex Jevdic KORD/KHOT/KPWKA<380 love at first flight
July 24, 201213 yr Commercial Member Highly unlikely on both requests, sorry. We consciously decided not to do any "virtual FO" type stuff with this and future products - that's much better handled by dedicated addons like FS2Crew. You realize you can tell what flap setting you're at by looking at the PFD speed tape though right? The currently selected setting is going to be the last number displayed on the tape... Setting a numerical trim value has no use except for before takeoff - the exact trim value in flight is going to depend on a whole host of things - you could never accurately say "5.4 trim is level" or anything like that - it depends on airspeed, weight, temperature/density of the air etc. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
July 25, 201213 yr Sounds like you should invest in FS2Crew, wont make any difference with trim but with flap/gear deploy/retraction among many many other things it is fantastic. http://www.fs2crew.c...G-737-NGX-Area/ My hope is FS2Crew will be available very soon after the 777's release. :) Jay Vorkapic
July 25, 201213 yr Could you in an update make the DME fully viewable in the first officer side? Even when the display is in full, I can't see the decimals of the DME... It shows fx 13, and then the rest is outside the range of the window. /Baudie
July 25, 201213 yr Author Thanks for the flaps tip. How does fscrew handle an aural flaps alert better. I really don't want to purchase something just to get this feature. It just seems like a step back to not be including this. From memory both the MD and JS41 have this.

It just seems like a step back to not be including this. From memory both the MD and JS41 have this. You wouldn't be buying it just for that feature, FS2Crew offers a lot, FS2Crew gives you your very own FO to join you in all phases of flight (pre flight, takeoff, ascent, descent, landing, shutdown etc) both in voice or button version, he will do the FO duties as well as run through checklists/briefs with you as expected, he will also make call outs like "80 knots" "V1" "Rotate" "postive climb" (your cue to call "gear up") and you inform him when and what flaps you want deployed/retracted as well as gear which all gets confirmed as he does it and when running through the checklists.
