July 28, 201213 yr Love this aircraft! I am able to create a flight plan and fly it using the FMS but I cannot seem to save it so that it remains in the database. It appears to assign a file name and save when I press the enter button but when I go to the flight plan list page it is not there. The only flight plan that appears in the list is the demo that came with the aircraft. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Dave David Smith
July 28, 201213 yr Did you press ENTER another time to confirm the save? When you select SAVE on the flight plan page and click ENTER, the FMS takes you to a different page where it requests a name for your new flight plan. You have to press ENTER once again to confirm that you want to save it. Matheus Mafra
July 28, 201213 yr Author Yes, I have pressed enter to confirm. See attached screen shot. I am returned to the active FP page after pressing enter at this point. Still no file found in the PMDG flight plan folder when I look for it. Thanks for your advice. Dave David Smith
July 28, 201213 yr Author My problem was resolved quickly by the fine folks at PMDG support. The properties of my flight plan file needed to be changed from Read Only to allow the sim to save new files. David Smith
August 22, 201213 yr My problem was resolved quickly by the fine folks at PMDG support. The properties of my flight plan file needed to be changed from Read Only to allow the sim to save new files. Could someone explain how to do this? I am having the same problem. Thanks, Dave
August 24, 201213 yr Please help me with this. I have the same problem as the gentleman above, but don't undersatnd the above referenced fix regarding "The properties of my flight plan file needed to be changed from Read Only to allow the sim to save new files" Thanks, Dave
August 25, 201213 yr Author Go to the FSX directory and open the PMDS folder. In it you will see a FLIGHTPLANS folder. Select and right click on the folder. In the pop-window that appears, click on Properties, Un-check the Write Only button, then click on Apply, and OK. Dave S. Correction - navigate to the PMDG folder in your FSX directory. David Smith
