July 31, 201213 yr I have attached a few links for some images I have taken and I didn't know if anybody else is having the same issue with the landing lights also. http://postimage.org/image/k2b2ash79/ http://postimage.org/image/fqvndc1wd/ Josh Scholl
July 31, 201213 yr Commercial Member That is the standard halo.bmp texture in effect which causes this overwhelming brightness. FSX uses this texture for many areas and I think it was just a balance (or compromise) they went with. Check the library as others have created/modified the halo.bmp to tone down those landing lights. Just be aware that could have adverse effects on other areas (like airport lighting), so it can boil down to personal preference. July 31, 201213 yr I had the same issue with my WOAI traffic and just started using this fix from the library: http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fsxmisc&DLID=149396 It does seem to fix the AI fireball lights. No problems with it so far but I haven't tested thoroughly. See also this thread: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/286842-new-fsx-lights/ Barry Friedman
