I think it's a memory issue. Too high settings in FSX, or virtual memory (page file) not set to System Managed Size, or wrong memory settings in the BIOS (frequency, timings, voltages). Your system does not look like it is overclocked so I'll skip one more possibility and that's a wrong voltage setting for the CPU. Based on your system specs, you will not be allowed to have your fsx settings set too high. You can remove some of the suggestions above if you haven't messed with your BIOS and changed your CPU voltages.

Several others will state it's the uiautomationcore.dll from Vista32 that has to be dropped in your main FSX folder. That has helped some and hasn't helped for several others. The uiautomationcore.dll comes with Microsoft dotnet framework software. You can search this forum or Google uiautomationcore.dll to get more info on the uiautomationcore.dll fix.

If you need further assistance, please provide information in your Event Viewer about your crash. Every crash and system change is recorded in the Event Viewer for the date and time of the incident. If you are not familiar with the Event Viewer and how it works, click on the Start button and then click on Help and Support. Once open, type Event Viewer in the search bar and you'll have several options to go to the Event Viewer, get info on how it operates and how to find an event. TIP: When you find your Event, look at events that might have occurred just before the crash.

Hello,

Since migrating to FSX I've suffered a number of CTD's; in the end I went to my Aircraft folder, sorted out about 10 of my least (if ever) used aircraft and placed them into folder I named Hangar! That cured the problem.

The problem, for me, was a second PC that I used for ASG and a couple WideFS items.

Thanks for telling us how you fixed this problem. It makes sense as there are several addon aircraft, made for previous versions of FS, that are not compatible with FSX. You should not move, delete or put any default aircraft in the "hangar" though as they are used by FSX and also some third party traffic addons to create traffic in the skies and airports.

Best regards,

Jim
