West Coast AFCAD Package

Featured Replies

Hey guys. I'm going to create a package of AFCADs for west coast airports and I'm going take requests. As of now I have: KLAX, KSAN, KOAK, KPDX, and KSEA... please post airports that you would like included. If there is enough interest in an airport, I will include it in the package. Thanks!:-jumpy---------------------Kenneth Weik [link:maam.org|MAAM-SIM][email protected][link:library.avsim.net/search.php?CatID=root&SearchTerm=kenneth+weik&Sort=Added&ScanMode=0&Go=Change+View]My AFCADs

How about a decent PHX AFCAD? Awww, right, thats not on the west coast. I think we need KSNA...that one comes to mind.

I agree Fred. It would be nice to have an afcad with everything Phoenix has. Including Swift and Cutter aviation, the terminal 4 parking garage helipad and the KC-135 ramp :-)

I happen to be partial to PHX ;) I read over my first post and it came across as sarcastic - not my intent. Just wanted to clear that up :)

SMF would be nice (hey, don't laugh... the County of Sacramento calls it an "International" airport).Greg

I am suprised so few people have responded.....Ken is offering quite a service here :)

Actually, I'm going to stick with the west coast for now. Thanks for the kind comment, its sort of depressing... the lack of feedback. Oh well. If this doesn't go over well I won't start work on the inner states or the east coast.:-jumpy---------------------Kenneth Weik [link:maam.org|MAAM-SIM][email protected][link:library.avsim.net/search.php?CatID=root&SearchTerm=kenneth+weik&Sort=Added&ScanMode=0&Go=Change+View]My AFCADs

Maybe you can do an AFCAD2 for my SNA2004 which will be available in a couple of weeks. With existing AFCAD everything is parked inside the buildings :( .Shez

Can I ask how exactly are you setting up these airports? Are you making realistic parking and more GA and cargo ramps or something? Just interested to know, thanks!

I've been considering doing SNA with your scenery, which is great, but the taxiways and other things don't line up with the default ones... or maybe I'm thinking of another scenery. Regardless I'll check it out... I've had requests to do the wilco airports but its the same thing there. They moved the taxiways around and it would take a month to fix it. But since the author actually requested it... np. ;)And I'll give you a brief summary: I use the program called AFCAD v2.21 by Lee Swordy in that program I can place runways, taxiways, gates, ramps... tons of stuff. So I'll recreate the actual airport(by looking at airport websites and charts, etc.) in AFCAD so that it is lined up with the airport in flight simulator. So if you have AI installed they will park and takeoff like they would in the real world. I hope that answers your questions.:-jumpy---------------------Kenneth Weik [link:maam.org|MAAM-SIM][email protected][link:library.avsim.net/search.php?CatID=root&SearchTerm=kenneth+weik&Sort=Added&ScanMode=0&Go=Change+View]My AFCADs
