West Coast AFCAD Package

Featured Replies

I am aware of AFCAD2 and its capabilities and if you are going to do the runways, taxiways, etc. then it would not be compatible because all of those are already in the scenery. The only thing it needs is an AFCAD2 for AI traffic.ThanksShez

I would like to see KMRY added to the list in addition to KSMF, KSFO, KSJC AND KOAK which are already on the list. Yes I'm from the SF Bay area.Ken

Shez, what I meant was you have to align the AFCAD file with your taxiways and gates and stuff. Your airport is slightly above the actual airport so the taxiways won't bleed through. The good news is that I worked like a dog today. :Dhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/80282.jpg:-jumpy---------------------Kenneth Weik [link:maam.org|MAAM-SIM][email protected][link:library.avsim.net/search.php?CatID=root&SearchTerm=kenneth+weik&Sort=Added&ScanMode=0&Go=Change+View]My AFCADs

Nice! Except the new SNA2004 is even further to the west }( . Its alignment is different because my reference point is the default runway from FS2004. Time to get back to work....:-cool .Shez

Shez!!!! KSNA for 2004? Sweeeeeet! Tell me., with you have the statue of the "Duke" in there (he-he).Seriously, will it match up with MegaScenery? Now with KSNA out of the way you can start on Palm Springs (KPSP), a nice little desert regional airport home of the rich & famous... the Rat Pack, Bob Hope. Gee... nice little terminal (sorta looks like a ride out of Disneyland). Gotta open invitation from the Airport Manager to go back stage for shots, etc., incase your interested. Plus Ken could make the AFCAD for you!(actually alread did one).just havin' fun. Ken, A lot of the airports I see you have litsted have been done several times over. Why repeat the effort unless they are personal favorites of yours. I would work on more remote places that sorely need the attention:Bakersfield, CALake Havasu, AZReno, NVBurbank (mentioned above)Santa Monica, CALindberge Field, San Diegoit's all good....

Well, I am a) making it easy for people and :( these are request. So there may not be good AFCADs out there. Like when I developed KLAX there were a bunch in the AVSIM library but none looked very accurate. Thanks for watching out for me though.:-jumpy---------------------Kenneth Weik [link:maam.org|MAAM-SIM][email protected][link:library.avsim.net/search.php?CatID=root&SearchTerm=kenneth+weik&Sort=Added&ScanMode=0&Go=Change+View]My AFCADs

Is that the terminal? It is a little complex to just create overnight but not too difficult. If that is all then should not take too long. We can do a deal, get me some pics of the terminal from all sides and I will make the terminal and ramp, no more. I want to do my next one KBUR.Shez

Yea, that's the terminal. I don't wanna corner you into a wall. But what I'll do is take a trip out there in the next few months (2 hour drive each way - was planning to anyway), and take some snapshots for ya. You can decide then.

would it be possible to throw in 1 or 2 helepads at some of those airports?? I'd love to be able to take off and land when I get in the mood to fly a copter. Thanks!
