August 10, 201213 yr Hi, I´ve just heard of the time-triggered thrust reduction from a pilot. This means that CLB N1 is not initiated by an altitude but by a certain time after takeoff has been initiated (pressing TOGA). Does anybody have some information on this? I guess this isn´t modeled in the NGX. Cheers, Robert
August 10, 201213 yr There's a lot of options out there, but I don't think that's "modeled" in the real plane, either. ;) There is a 5 or 10 minute limit on takeoff thrust, but that's not an issue until you're doing engine failures. After that, you set MCT manually. Matt Cee
August 10, 201213 yr I've never heard of this as a programming option, but I know you can just hit the timer on the clock at takeoff, and keep the fmc on the thrust options page, and hit the climb thrust you want at the time you need ~William Genovese~
