I would try EZCA, a "must have", in my opinion. Otherwise, I use Flight Sim Commander. It gives you a great visual of your flight, and makes flight planning a breeze. I do hope PMDG fixes the SIDS/STARS issue in the FMC.

Exactly which SID/STAR issue are you talking about in regards to PMDG?
