Changes to the "about me" section of my profile keep getting lost

Featured Replies

i'm having trouble with the About Me section of my forum profile. whenever i make a change, it takes effect temporarily, then when i check it the next day, it's back to the way it was before. i'm making only minor text changes, and after i click save, i view my profile, and it all looks good. the next day, it's reverted back to the way it was before i changed it. i've done this 5-6 times now, and it keeps happening. anyone else seeing this? is it a bug?

Heres what I see for you now:

About Me

Touch Pilot allows you to control your flight simulator from your tablet. Adjust your throttle, mixture, prop, landing gear, flaps, and more with just a touch.

Is this a new update? Keep an eye on it and let me know if it happens again.

Sincerely,

Chase

hi chase. thanks for replying. what you quoted there is the original "about me" that it keeps reverting back to. every time i make a change, it goes back to that after about a day. i changed it just now by removing the second sentence. let's see if the change sticks.

yep, looks like it has reverted back to the original two sentence version. there is definitely something weird going on.

i found the source of the problem. i had my profile set to sync my about me with my twitter account. it kept copying the about me from twitter, which was overwriting my changes. my mistake! sorry for the trouble.

Ok that makes sense. I was really stumped! Thanks for the learning experience
