i found the source of the problem. i had my profile set to sync my about me with my twitter account. it kept copying the about me from twitter, which was overwriting my changes. my mistake! sorry for the trouble.

yep, looks like it has reverted back to the original two sentence version. there is definitely something weird going on.

hi chase. thanks for replying. what you quoted there is the original "about me" that it keeps reverting back to. every time i make a change, it goes back to that after about a day. i changed it just now by removing the second sentence. let's see if the change sticks.

awesome! in my mind, it would have options to specify how many failures per hour, and a list of all possible failures with checkboxes, so that you can include/exclude the ones you want to randomly occur.

i'm having trouble with the About Me section of my forum profile. whenever i make a change, it takes effect temporarily, then when i check it the next day, it's back to the way it was before. i'm making only minor text changes, and after i click save, i view my profile, and it all looks good. the next day, it's reverted back to the way it was before i changed it. i've done this 5-6 times now, and it keeps happening. anyone else seeing this? is it a bug?

better graphics are always welcome. however, better API support for doing combat related addons would be a really worthwhile upgrade!

that's pretty cool! good idea to show them all on a map like that. it will be useful next time i'm shopping for fsx scenery.

yes, it's possible. i used to do it years ago with FSX and a GPS app that i ran on an old HP PDA. the gps app could use an external bluetooth GPS, and FSX could emulate a bluetooth gps. i don't remember exactly how it did it, but it didn't involve FSUIPC. i think it was a free app i got somewhere. i'll see if i can find it.

i second that. i've actualy been thinking about something just like this for a while. if i wasn't so busy working on other projects, i'd do it myself. it would be great to be able to say "give me at least one random failure per flight". it would be great training for emergency handling skills, which are rather useful in real life piloting!
