July 19, 201411 yr Hector - I also got the dreaded "Type 34" error when trying to install the 9.1 patch during a recent reinstall of FS9. If you Google "9.1 patch error 34" you'll find several references to this problem and some potential solutions in several forums (including Avsim). In my case, it required editing the registry with "Regedit" to correct the path to the FS9.exe and removing old references to FS9, which proved to be more involved than I thought at first. I'd link a few other forums directly, but I believe that is frowned upon here. Good luck! John G.
