Dash 8 Sounds?

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a good freeware sound set for a Dash 8?I've looked around but haven't found any. Thanks!

Why don't you grab the whole thing?Go here, http://fandafans.fscentre.com/Hope it helps,Carlos.

The Fanda Dash 8 has the best turbo prop sounds ever. Because of the way they're done, they must be used with Oleksiy Frolov's panel, so that's why you need the whole package. There's a learning curve that goes with it, but when feather the props for taxi or power up for takeoff, you'll be in for a real treat.

I thought I would check this out, however, it doesn't want to work for me.The documentation says it works with either registered or unregistered FSUIPC but I get the "not accredited" warning when selecting the aircraft. On top of that, the gauges do not show on the main panel.I thought maybe I would just take the sounds and use them in an existing Dash 8 but that didn't work either. I guess they are configured to only work with that particular aircraft or something. Pitty.

You don't need a registered version of FSUIPC for the Fanda Dash8 to work. More than likely you don't have it installed correctly or you don't have the right version of FSUIPC or both. Go have a look a the FAQ on the Fanda Forum, here: http://forums.fscentre.com/index.php?board=6.0. If you continue to have problems, post a message on the forum and you will get all the help you need. Don't give up, the Fanda Dash 8 is definitely worth the effort!

Everything is installed correctly and it's the latest version of a non-registered version of FSUIPC.I just wanted to check to see if things were working properly so I just did an auto start to get things going. Does this function not working in this particular aircraft? I know there is alot that is required normalling to get this bad boy up and going, but, like I said, I just wanted to see if things were going to work.Should I not even be getting the FSUIPC warning in the beginning? If not, then something is definitely a miss.

Yes, you should get the fsuipc warning, well at least I do. Just ignore it.For missing guages, go to http://forums.fscentre.com/index.php?topic=982.0 and scroll to the bottom of the page. Most likely you didn't copy over some files correctly. The 2 packages needed arehttp://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=26699http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=37657There is no autostart, you need to read the manual that's in the 'doc' directory. It's (very) tough the first 2 times, then it'll be a breeze. As the previous person said, don't give up!!

I realize there is a specific checklist to go through (you're talking about the PDF checklist that came with it, right?) but I just wanted to see if everything was in correctly. So, if I did the autostart then I won't have some gauges showing, correct?

So, if I>did the autostart then I won't have some gauges showing,>correct?I'm refering to the walkthrough flight in one of the html documents in the 'doc' directory. It takes you from cold start to take off and landing. I think I see what you mean, you're refering to black guages before the plane is even started? That's absolutely normal. So just go through the walkthrough and you're see quite pretty things (and sounds!)

There is a "HowTo" over at FlightSim.com by myself describing how to incorporate the Fanda sounds and panel in others' Dash8"sNigelVancouver
