Button for GPS power on/off

Featured Replies

I hope this is the place.

I have switches on my Saitek TPM, throttle quadant and yoke/stick for pretty much most things. I have a number pad which takes care of all the GPS functions and switches for various lights, avinics and magnetos on/off. What really bugs me is having to turn on the GPS via a mouse click. Is there a way of achieving this. I've got a switch that's crying out for the job!

Hello Ron

You can do it quite easily by using a registered version of Fsuipc.

You need to map a button to a FS Control as in the screenshot.

If you also tick "profile specific" and have "ShortAircraftNameOk=Substring" in your Fsuipc.ini then you can have it only apply to the loaded aircraft, this technique also applies to any other programmed buttons or Axis assignments so you can have fully customised sets of controls and buttons loaded automatically with each aircraft.

Hi mad, can I call you mad? I did get as far as your screenshot and it didn't work. I didn't particularly want it for a specific aircraft, I wanted it as a general control. I'll go through it again see if I have better luck.

Thanks for caring. :friends:
