I also had problems with Disappearing Runways.

Sometimes I use SCASM to correct this behavior.

But sometimes I create Apron Poly with AFX (payware).If you create an apron over a stretch of ground outside the default ground polygon, it will flatten the area. Usually this method works and it is very simple to draw apron Poly over default AFCAD. After that check if You have disappearing Runway.

It works for me in 70% cases. But I solved some cases with SCASM (more complicated and sometimes I was unable to find satisfactory result.

Still learning.

 

P.S. Always backup original AFCAD files before working on it!!!!
