config file

Featured Replies

Is fsx.cfg.text the same as fsx.cfg. I noticed after I had created a new config file that the fsx.cfg file had alot more in the text than the cfg.text file. Do I edit the .cfg or cfg.text file? The HIGHMEMFIX=1 was one that wasn't in the .cfg file but was in the cfg.text. After starting a new .cfg my FSX stops working each time the program loads. Even when I run it as administrator.

The fsx.cfg file is the one. If FSX is misbehaving, you can rename this file and FSX will generate a fresh copy.

I decide after just moments ago when my PMDG 747 gauges went black, The KSFO scenery went haywire that I am just going to uninstall FSX and spend the next several days REINSTALLING all my addons and third party aircraft. Obviously frustrating but nothing I can do about it.
