I have a problem installing x-plane 9, the file of the installers are all zip that why i need to extract it. after extracting i click the x-plane to install but it says there: (i am looking x-plane DVD now) what should i do? pls help me.

Be sure you have DVD 1 in your CD tray, then just click the installer that you have extracted from the zip file, and it should install. Are you getting the installer from this page? http://wiki.x-plane.com/DVD_Installers

if not get the installer from that link for your correct operating system. Do not install from the DVD itself.

go to X-Plane.com and download the X-Plane 9 installer. When I got v10 I was instructed to NOT use the installer on the DVD but to download and use the installer/updater. As I am also looking in to v9 of X-Plane I would expect the instructions to be about the same.
