Microsoft is offering an early purchase offer for W8 $15.00US.

 

However, it appears that it is only good if you bought a PC, such as a Dell or HP, etc.) that was pre-configured with Windows. Has any one tried this with a "homemade PC"?

its cool that they are offering it so cheap but if you have a retail version of windows 7 i would not recommend that process as it will deactivate your retail key as well as your oem windows 7 key so the chance of going back to windows 7 is removed if you dont like windows 8.

 

Windows 7 is king for me

I will never put that crap on my Seagate hard drive.
