SDK Error tried everything

Featured Replies

HI all,

Ever since I installed the 7600 expansion for the ngx I'm getting an error that says, "Warning unable to initialize the sdk...". I have fsx set to load default 2d panel and have re installed all my liveries, deleted livery option.ini and re installed sp1c. I'm out of things to try please help! :(

Bryan,

I just did a fresh install of SP1C for both 8900 and 6700, then loaded up the pmdg livery and still have the same error.

Forgot to mention that I get the error, then after a few seconds it goes away...not sure if that's how it is meant to be or not. I have also noticed that ever since I have been getting this error the FO says the CDU pre flight is not completed(I'm 100% sure it is) and he does not configure the pressurization or packs before engine start.

Thanks

Parker Siu

The SDK error is still present.

I'm not really sure what's happening in your case.

Try this:

After you load the FS2Crew Main Panel, re-load/reset the Flight via the FSX in game menu on the top of the screen.

See if you get the SDK error then.

It's weird, but sometimes the SDK loads on 'alternate' attempts. Even Pete Dowson has noted this issue with the PMDG SDK and Simconnect.

Ok well after I posted that response I searched even farther into the forums than before on this issue and came across a post where you said to add a line to the 737NGX_options.ini which said:

[sDK]

EnableDataBroadcast=1

For some reason this line was not already there so i added it and now do not get the error, however I will test whether or not it fixed the CDU pre flight error right now.

Update:

Well I finished the flight with none of the problems I was experiencing before which is good. However, I noticed odd engine behavior during cruise where the engines would spool up really fast then slow down and repeat throughout the short cruise. Not sure if that's fs2crew related or not.

I was having the same problem with a PMDG-supplied AeroMexico 737-700 livery.

I believe I've fixed the problem on my setup. I had an override ini loaded so that no matter what plane I flew, the setup would be the same. The "override" field I'm reffering to can be accessed on the FMS by: MENU key -> PMDG SETUP -> AIRCRAFT and then LSK 5R "Fixed Config." I deleted that override, reloaded the aircraft, and FS2Crew worked just fine. The override that I had in that field is for a 737-800. It might be possible that using that config file was causing the conflict.

Thought I'd share this to see if it helps you.

(By the way, I was having this SDK Error problem today with all up-to-date updates (SP1c for 6/7 and 8/9.)
