Finally went for a flight in NZ! And the ORBX scenery looks great! I did a fairly standard NZ domestic route, Auckland to Christchurch.

You are right that ORBX did a good job on the NZ islands.

 

My self found a smaller airline, called Sounds air, the use Cessna -208 -206 and 172.

The mostly go out from Wellington and have a rather small network, down to Pikton, Nelson and to the national parks on the south island.

The flight route gets you near the scenery and the landscapes.
