June 24, 200421 yr I took one person's suggestions of making a video of Aeroworx B200 flight deck action. This video is relatively large in size but it is almost 13 minutes of good ol fun. However, I have also made a smaller size video as well. Anyways, I think this video will especially appeal to those who don't have the B200 or they are thinking about it. I kept this one really simple... no fancy edits. Hope you guys like it! June 25, 200421 yr Wonderful video.I'm just returning to MSFS2004, and this one made me really enthusiastic to fly again.
June 25, 200421 yr Excellent, excellent video, Todd! I really enjoyed it a lot, especially the takeoff roll :D You must have one beast of a machine to be able to fly that aircraft from the VC and have it being recorded all at the same time with fluid video :-eekJason :-wave
June 25, 200421 yr This was actually a very helpful video. I havent purchased this plane yet (still wearing out my Cessna C441 and T-34 payware recent purchases!). But this ones on the list. Your video was instructive to me about how this plane looks and flies. Aeroworx should have that video on their web site.Great work, if just a wee bit long. 6-8 minutes is usually plenty long enough for me anyway! However will also say the resolution is very good and the file size is small for a video of this length.Eric AND
June 25, 200421 yr Author Thank you all for the wonderful comments. I too agree that it was a little too long... I think that the majority or my error on keeping the video short is in the beginning... i originally had recorded the full startup sequence, but I shaved a good 5 minutes off the total time by editing. I did want to give people an idea of what the startup sequence was like in the B200 so thats why it was as long as it is. I am thinking about doing another video as it seems like people enjoy watching them. I'll probably keep them under 5 minutes, 10 minutes at the very most though. If need be, I'll section the videos... such as the first part being takeoff, climb, etc... and the second part being cruise, arrival, and so forth. Anyways, back to video production!
June 25, 200421 yr Tod,Wonderfull video!!!!!!!! are you using FRAPS??? and what program to edit it.TIATunka
June 25, 200421 yr Commercial Member Speaking of the T34, I've put a video on my site -- see the post in the forum below. The full version is on Supersim.com, which means you need to download the whole thing, but you can take a peek at a bit of it on my own site -- www.windowlight.co.nzVisit the Windowlight forum on Avsim... everything you need to know about New Zealand flightsim sceneryhttp://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...forum=203&page=
June 25, 200421 yr Pretty nice one, Todd!I noticed only two things that I would maybe correct. One is realism related and the other one too, but also helps you quite a lot.First, regarding to normal procedures of this aircraft, you should put the Condition Lever of right engine to High Idle when starting up left engine. Left is then put to Low idle and after turning generators on you also reduce right to low idle.Pitch trimming with this aircraft is quite strange, though, I saw that you tried to pull the plane off from ground on correct Vr speed, but it like didnt come off. Try trimming the elevator so that the red bar on throttle console trimming indicator is over the little white line that is located above center position there. Tell me if you understood and if you didnt, I will make a screenshot.
June 25, 200421 yr Author Hi... thanks for your criticism. As far as the condition levers, I'll probably start doing that but I'm curious if you know why that should be done?Trimming... I'll just come right out and say that I probably forgot to set T/O trim. However, I have noticed the same thing that you have... that takeoff is baby-butt smooth with the trim indicator in that position. Almost all FS aircraft seem to need to have some nose up trim dialed in for takeoff. I am about to post a new B200 video right now (2 parts of a flight to cut down file size) and you will see that takeoff was much smoother on this flight. The landing was something else though lol. Check out the other post for more details. :)
June 25, 200421 yr ToddAmazing video...i'm gonna save me some money to buy that bird.thanks for sharing Sir ;-)cheers
