FS9 minimizes arbitrarily

Featured Replies

This is probably a ? that has been asked and answered before but I can't find a reference. Why does FS9 minimize in the middle of my reviewing flight operations in the library if I don't move the page down fast enough? Is there a search tool in AVSIM that allows us to look for answers to questions like this without having to wade through a hundred Q and As.Any help appreciated.JimVT

I dont' have that problem, and I'm not sure why you do, but I have a couple of ideas: Frist, i'm not sure what you mean by reviewing flight operations in the library - what is that? 1.) do you have any applications running in the background which may be stealing focus from FS9? 2.) is it related to connecting to the internet - as in dialup networking starts? To resolve these, there's a TweakUI powertoy (google it - its everywhere) and an option in that is to prevent applications from stealing focus. Second, quit any apps you don't need. Third, use a copy of free ad aware or spybot and make sure you don't have a trojan lying around that is stealing focus and using your internet connection.Hope this gets you started in the right directions...Best,sg

SG:Thanks for your help.I think I found the simplest resolution i.e.,start up with a clean boot. That prevents the other programs from stealing focus.Regards,JimVT
