September 10, 201213 yr I am receiving this error "FSX Application Data Folder read error ... Navigate to your FSX AppData Folder in the next screen". I scanned the User's Guide but I couldn't find anything really to help despite the error box referring the user to the documentation. Where can I find the FSX AppData folder? RM Killins
September 12, 201213 yr Moderator What is your OS? According to the FSX SDK notes "Application data for Flight Simulator X running on Windows® XP is stored in the C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX folder. However for Windows 7 application data is stored in: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX" hth, Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
September 12, 201213 yr Author Yes ... eventually found it. I hadn't yet run FSX after installation so the folder hadn't been created yet. Once FSX was ran, it all worked. RM Killins
