FSX BAD SOUND STUTTERS

Featured Replies

Well having just fixed a CTD problem I now have bad sound stutters in FSX. It seems to be caused by my 2 month old Speedlink Black Widow joystick. If I un plug it and plug in my old faithfull CH Fighter stick it stops, soon as I plug the B.Widow back in the stutters start again, how weird is this !? Dont even know where to start on a fix for this, any ideas ?

Thanks, Buster.

Try to get the latest driver for the new stick, or if you couldnt find a new driver, uninstall the one you got and try to use the default game controller drivers that are shipped with windows

I know this is going to sound really dumb, but I have seen it once or twice, where simply changing the USB socket you plug it into can force a re-install of the drivers and "could" resolve it.

Its highly unlikely, and rare, but could just well work.

Happened to me too, so make that 3 times in my lifetime...

All my Saitek kit doesn't work properly if I plug the USB hubs into the motherboard USB sockets, yet if I plug them into the front USB sockets which are on the PC Tower, everything works just fine...

Bit rate set at 44.100, FPS locked at 30, Bufferpools tweak added to CFG, Soundcard configured OK, on board sound disabled in BIOS and device manager.

Deleted Black Widow drivers and let Windows USB Game Controller driver handle it, problem solved ! also got rid of the really annoying stick vibration !

Thanks guys, Buster.
