June 29, 200421 yr I went to the link published on AVSIM's Headlines page, got to a page telling me that this is my chance to take the survey. Clicking on OK gets me to a page where I have to enter an ID, but nothing about how to get an ID. Maybe you have to be a certified Microsoft employee to take the survey :-hmmmOr maybe it's just the latest irish joke :-jumpy J.J.JJ StruyfBraine-L'AlleudBelgiumhttp://jdtllc.com/images/RCsupporter.jpg Jean-Jacques Struyf between EBBR and EBCI
June 29, 200421 yr The key sentence being... "Please check back with us at the end of today for the latest survey."I missed it at first too :-shy
June 29, 200421 yr Are we sure this is a legitimate Microsoft site? Note the url www,microsoft,ie/survey. Why would such a generic url name be used for a FS specific survey? This doesn't follow Microsoft's normal naming conventions. Normally MS would have a site name including it's subdivision such as www,microsoft,com/games/flightsimulator. Also when you just enter the main url it redirects you to the micrsoft.com/ireland site. It just seems a little strange!Note: replaced the dots in the URL with commas to break the links as they are only meant as examples! Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
June 29, 200421 yr Hi,At the flight sim exhibition in Blackpool 2 weeks ago, Microsoft were handing out "business" cards with the URL mentioned above, there is also an Email address of [email protected] filled in the survey last week and it is quite interesting.Cheersterry
June 29, 200421 yr Author Just as FYI,The Domain Microsoft.ie is owned by Microsoft. Do a Whois search for the domain and you will see that it is a valid domain. The domain is in Ireland and thus lends to the side of truth, that this is an authentic study of what European Simmers wnat and need. Do a simple test, type www.microsoft.ie into your browser and you will see why I say that it is authentic. Enough said.Give MS a break, from what I can see they seem to be listening. We asked for this, let's take advantage of it. http://www.forefrontgrp.com/jayssigsmall.jpg"There is an art . . . to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss!"
