Flight1 Mustang Windows/Tint

Featured Replies

I do love my little Mustang, but the brownish windows can get on my nerves.

Has anyone out there found a way to remove the tint and care to share it?

I'm wondering too if it can be done without affecting the icing effects

many thanks

Are you using the Test version of the Mustang, Dan? That has a different tint to the windows compared to the rest, even though Flight 1 don't seem to know what I am talking about.

I've got almost 500 hours in the Mustang. I don't know what you're talking about. No tinted windows here.

Well I've only ever been flying 3rd party repaints, and I just found this post: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/382437-f1-mustang-has-foggy-windows/

It's possible the repaints I'm flying are using the test version windows.. I'll have to try the default liveries and see.

Basically around the edges of the windscreen I can see the brown tint ending like it's painted on, maybe realistic on the test one I don't know but I'd just like to customise it.

Hopefully it's as simple as changing those liveries to use the non-test mustang windows

Superglide,

The tint on the windows of the test version of the Mustang is clearly different to that of any of the others. It makes the view outside slightly darker overall, and it also seems to suffer from more "glare" when the sunlight is on it.

I found my particular problem was the Brindabella livery it has a bad reflection map, happens to be the main one that I flew. All the others are fine, the test version is darker though but not as bad as the Brindabella
