September 22, 201213 yr i guess i could but will it run also since there are no restrictions like serial# activation for the sim. If yes, i will go buy a 64gb Drive. I have alot of 32gb sticks but they're all full of fs9/fsx/p3d/xp10 payware
September 22, 201213 yr Never tried it FlashIsisMayia, but apparently it'll work. I am saving for an SSD Disk Drive though, to install Windows7 and X-Plane10 :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
September 22, 201213 yr thanks jcomm for the quick reply. i guess it will work perfectly. SSD are amazing but alittle expensive right now. Around Christmas I'm planning on getting a new Alienware Gaming Laptop with a 512gb SSD. I'm saving up  I'm in a flight now with the new 777 and OMG the weather in this sim is fantastic and those 3D Clouds are breathtaking to look at(i have 75% cloud setting) The sound of the thunder also is awesome! :good:
September 22, 201213 yr Hi, I have a backup of my entire XP9 and XP10 installation on external usb hdd, they even run very well from there! So I guess that XP can run from any external device, that is one of my favorite aspects of XP, that flexibility. Alexander Colka

September 24, 201213 yr As far as I know, X-Plane is a stand-alone install -- no hidden registry entries or setting files -- so you can just make a copy of the X-Plane directory and it'll have everything you need.
