September 24, 201213 yr Gentlemen, Everytime I browse to the AVSIM.net site, it requires me to re sign in even though I have the "Remember Me" box checked. "ALL" my other favorite sites allow me to be "remembered". For instance the Level-D and Flight Sim Labs home sites just to name a couple, work just fine "remembering" me. I decided to experiment with my internet options temporarily to discover what the difference might be. Understand, I generally keep my Internet Options/Privacy Tab set to Medium and it works for all other web sites slightly restricting cookie usage, but not overly so. In the case of your site, the only way it allows the "Remember Me" tab to work is if I reduce it to the absolute bottom "below the Low setting", allowing totally unfettered cookie access. Why is this so? Is there something so important in your cookie information in regards to other web sites login cookies? To give you the benefit of the doubt, maybe there is something that you might need to do in this regard that you might have missed in regards to how you place/utilize your user login cookie compared to other web sites. Regards P.S. I read the FAQ in regards to this, but my question still stands. Why would your cookie have to be handled differently than all the other web site forums (dozens of them) that I utilize?
September 24, 201213 yr I browse avsim with several different browsers including IE9, Chrome, Firefox...as well as Safari on iOS. The remember me feature works fine on all of them. I didn't need to change anything for it to work. What browser are you using?

Incidentally, it has never given me a problem until this specific site, which is why I'm inquiring why the difference?
September 24, 201213 yr I would add the site to the Privacy -> Sites as Internet Options as a temporary solution. Maybe someone else has seen this issue. Try changing your password and seeing if that resets the cookie.
September 28, 201213 yr Hi Michael, Thanks for contacting AVSIM Support. P.S. I read the FAQ in regards to this, Thank you for checking the FAQ. I'm sorry the answer wasn't in there for you. I use Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome and haven't had a problem to date with it not remembering me. I ran a Google search and located a relevant forum thread you may wish to read for some possible solutions -- it looks like you're not alone with this issue. http://windowssecrets.com/forums/showthread.php/145613-IE9-doesn-t-always-remember-passwords Sincerely, Chase My 2017 Build: Liquid Cooled i7 7700K CPU idle @ 4.2GHz | MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X 8G | 16GB's DDR4 4000 RAM | ASUS 27" 144hz Gaming Monitor | MSI Z270 M7 Motherboard | Windows 10 | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 500GB SSD
September 28, 201213 yr You need to put avsim.com and avsim.net in your trusted sites listing in the IE security function.

April 23, 201313 yr You may need to make sure you're accepting cookies. We have no reports of issues staying logged in. Also, you can make it so chrome remembers passwords. Google "how to accept cookies in chrome" Sincerely, Chase My 2017 Build: Liquid Cooled i7 7700K CPU idle @ 4.2GHz | MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X 8G | 16GB's DDR4 4000 RAM | ASUS 27" 144hz Gaming Monitor | MSI Z270 M7 Motherboard | Windows 10 | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 500GB SSD
