Brake Temp

Featured Replies

Ho Folks. On my PMDG 747 I always get a message on my EICAS - 'BRAKE TEMP' Does anybody know what I need to do to remedy and lose it please.

Thanks

John

Hi fautleyj.. pmdg 747 is a great plane, love it.

brake temp

1. go to PMDG folder and consult the manual

2. go to pmdg option inside fs9 and you should find 'brake temp'

3. or go to pmdg forum not far from here

It means your brakes are hot hot hot. Do not take off with brakes hotter than 150* If temps above 150* at takeoff, leave the gear extended before retracting. If not, it could cause a fire in the wheel well. You don't want that., If parking, wait for blocks in place, release brakes to help cool.

It may be that your rudder pedals need to be calibrated. I had a similar problem with the F1 ATR. It turned out that my pedals were causing the brakes to bind....
