  1. Pilot, for sure. An autopilot is only certified to a set limit, if it's anything more than said limit, it must be flown manually.

Good day everyone, I was wondering if anyone ever considered this option for the 777s? Having an Arm/Disarm ALL because upon arrival and departure all doors get armed and disarmed I thought it would be a good idea rather than just disarming or arming each door individually. Thoughts, comments, concerns? Regards, Dan
  3. Good day gents, I seem to be having some rather tall bridge issues when it comes to flying the Q400. This is the latest version 1,010 from simmarket, on P3Dv2.3. All exterior flying is great, but when it comes to flying from the VC and interior shots, it shows. This is on final into Montreal, Q400, version 1.010 as mentioned from simmarket in P3Dv2.3 Edit: Just installed the patch from the 1.010-1.011 to see what it gives. Edit, Edit: Seems to have fixed the issue!
  4. PrecipitFX is a continuous improvement, they will keep releasing updates to make it better each. I know the co-founder personally and he reassured me that it's only gonna get better with time
  5. Rule of thumb is 3nm forward per 1000' of altitude. You take your altitude you need to lose, multiply by 3. So if you're at 37000' and you have a restriction of 5000', in reality you only need to lose 32000' of altitude. Take 32000, drop the 0's giving you 32. Multiply 32x3=96. This is the approximate distance to cover the altitude lost, now I add a 5nm buffer, so I'd start at 101nm. To calculate a descent profile, take your GS*6=ROD. For example at 400kts GS*6= 2400fpm. Keep in mind as your GS decreases, the rate of descent will decrease as well. It's good to redo these calculations every 10000' to ensure you're on the correct profile that you planned for. Hope this helps.
  6. Oli, I don't comment on these forums very much, but myself, and everyone else here in these forums are gonna back you up 100%, if not more. Your work is beyond amazing and we won't let these "fools"(I'm trying to be nice, replace "fools" with another word) get in the way of your product. You have my support, and we will not let you down. It's hard enough to come into a community that enjoys what companies such as yourself, PMDG, Aerosoft do, then comes along someone, who lacks the intelligence to come clean, be honest, so they'd rather steal the work of others, claim it as their own. Little do they know, hopefully this is the case, I hope Genuine Simulations doesn't get ONE PENNY from anyone. We will keep posting these forums to prevent folks from falling into the trap of getting ripped off. I wish you the very best success in the release of your Next Level Sim A380. We're all anxious and anticipating its release. You have my support and I have your back. Best Regards, Dan
  7. Everyone is a great help so far!! Now the alpha layer seems to be locked, and yet I can't seem to unlock it by any means of unlocking a layer. Ideas, anyone?
  8. Pete, I located that file, made changes, saved with the existing alpha and I still don't get any changes in the aircraft. Not exactly sure why it's upside down, but anyways, Any inputs would be appreciated.
  9. Could you provide me more details?? Where can I find this texture sheet?
  10. Good day folks, I was seeing some flightdecks with Aircraft Identifications and SELCAL right in front of the pilot. I was curious to find out if anyone knew how to edit those as the Air Canada fleet has their SELCAL included on those. Any insight would be appreciated. Yes I know the picture shows a -300...but the concept is there on all Air Canada's 777 fleet. Regards, Daniel Desjardins
  11. Arslan, I can't get into the forums with the link provided. Sorry, we couldn't find that! [#103139]You do not have permission to view this forum. You're right I have Global, PNW, and NRM. If I could have it look like post 14 from you, Arslan, I'd be a very happy camper and would be greatful to you. In FTX Central, should FTX Global be checked, and hybrid more too?
  12. If I have Global and PNW?, how can I set it up that way?
  13. I'll have to check my configs. I have 469 files in there now, but what do I need to do if I have FTX Global, and PNW...
  14. Well, I've reinstalled, Removed exactly what's shown and I have 465. Arslan, you have 469, Robert, you have 462. What's missing?? I hope we can come to a solution! Calgary misses me! And it's such an amazing scenery, I hate that it's not being put to good use :-( Let's work together. Arslan, what do your actual scenery folder for the scenery look like?
  15. I'm having the same issue, and since then I've been avoiding CYYC at all costs. Hopefully we can get in touch with Nigel, or the guys at CanUK to see if they've come up with a solution.
  16. Jim, I downloaded the program, it searched and all that came up outdated were USB and generic stuff. I have saved in my bookmarks the forum page for Pete and his FSUIPC updates and it's at 4.91 now, so I threw that in FSX/modules and we'll see what happens. Is there any way to know when Pete releases a new version? Or do I need to visit his site every day? Thanks! Dan
  17. Thanks for your efforts Jim, As it turns out, I was behind on my graphics drivers by a few versions. I've updated and we'll see what happens. Thanks for helping out! Dan

  19. Hello everyone, I was wondering if others had this issue as well. In the USA, where the land tends to be "dry" such as Nebraska, and other midwestern states are having the square of "green" land. Perhaps I missed a few steps, but beyond that the product is amazing!!! Here's a picture of what I'm talking about. If anyone has any idea, please feel free to let me know. Best Regards

I really enjoy where I have my FSX, it would be a bummer to have it fail on me now. Please help!
  21. When you select the airport you want to fly out of, just above the ok button there will be a place called "select location" where it normally says "active runway". Click on that and it will give you the list of all parking spots and runways for that airport.
  22. Hey guys!!! And gals? If any, I just got the upgrade for 2012 and I'm anxious/excited to try out the program with these settings that have been shared. I love this community, and I look forward to posting pictures of the flight that's planned for tomorrow out of LAS-YVR. how do I go about changing the cloud density in the config? Under which [ ] is it located? (Probably a stupid place like weather..lol) Cheers and great shots!! Regards, Dan D (cdnavi8r)
  23. Thanks for your quick reply K.S. Would you be willing to share your merge so that I can give it a shot? I've been trying for quite some time but to no success. I've done countless merges in the past with all sorts of different aircraft and panels, but this one seems to stop me in my tracks. Hoping you can help Regards, Cdnavi8r
  24. Good day gents (and women, if any) I was wondering if anyone has successfully merged the Level D 767 with the SkyspiritV5 767? And successfully I mean by working systems, exterior lights that shine the way they are supposed to, etc. I have have seen some pictures of the merge floating around the internet, and yes, I did ask them, but they said they would charge me for the merge..didn't make any sense. Anyways, if anyone has any idea of where to point me (I searched google and many other sites) or even share their merge with me, it would be greatly appreciated. I've attempted the merge, putting the plane to the panel and all that, but with my dismay, there are still some issues, that including the navigation lights on the wings, strobes, beacon, etc. If you've seen the ssp 767v5 out of the box, you can see that the Nav and strobe lights are small and realistic in terms of size, shine, and even the reflection of the strobe and beacon flash on the ground. Please help, as I thoroughly enjoy the SSP767 with the panel of the Level D (By the way, I prefer the model of the SSP and I don't care if it doesn't have a VC..as long as it flies like it should, I'm a happy pilot) Thanks for your time and hopefully we can get this bird in the air soon. Regards, cdnavi8r
