September 30, 201213 yr Hello I recently purchased the product J41, and I think it must have some problems: 1) When I choose the plane and I select it, some sounds of the cockpit of the plane are playing on the main screen of FSX (alarms, engine sound, etc).See img 1 2) The AHRS panel and FSM is black, see image 2 and 3, altitude and speed work. 3) The Power Levers and Condition Levers animation not work, only the trim. Image 1 Image 2 Image 3 I tried the following: According to the document: PMDG_J41_pilot_intro.pdf Display Settings - Graphics Tab Display Settings - Aircraft Tab Disabling VC Head Latency My configuration is: FSX deluxe: Version:10.0.61637.0 FSX-Xpack.20070926-1421 (sp1 and sp2) Acceleration pack. Directx 10 enable. Some add-on: Switzerland X pro. Rex Essential. PMDG MD-11 PMDG 737 PMDG 747 thank you very much for your time and help. F. Lombardi
September 30, 201213 yr You should file a support ticket through the PMDG website as I'm not sure anyone on the forums will be able to help you beyond suggesting you try reinstalling. The aircraft is obviously not initialising properly, but why is not immediately apparent. ckyliu, proud supporter of ViaIntercity.com. i5 12400F, 32GB, RTX4070, more in "About me" on my profile.
September 30, 201213 yr Author Hello Ckyliu, Thank you for your reply, Yes, I forgot to say that I have downloaded and installed the software again, previously uninstalled the first installation. But now that you mention it, the end of the installation of InstallShield, appears and disappears the command window (cmd.exe) in windows 7, and the installation is completed, but does not show me the window with the message "Installation successful" and the button "Finish". Could be an error in the installation script? Regards, F. Lombardi
September 30, 201213 yr Hi, Re. (1) sounds on FSX screen - I get this sometimes but it doesn't seem to cause any other problems Re. (2) black panels - these have a brightness control, you could check it is turned up (see the manual) Re. (3) levers not moving - no idea, sorry. Generally, the advice is that the aircraft works better if you don't load it directly from the FSX menu, as you are doing. Instead, load the FSX default flight (trike over sunday harbour), then when that is loaded, press 'ALT' to bring up the menus, and select FLIGHTS - LOAD, and load your JS41 flight. Al.
October 1, 201213 yr Author Hello guys, Thanks for your answers! I finished sending a ticket to support. I'll be waiting for the answer in a few days. Regards F. Lombardi
October 1, 201213 yr Just a quick check, did you get the pop-up window to activate the product when you selected the JS41 for the first time? Screens not doing much and levers not moving might be related to the product not being activated I think.
October 5, 201213 yr Author Hello guys, Thank you for yours replies! The problem has been solved! Where was the problem? In the driver of my network card! I have a motherboard gigabyte g1.assassin with a Killer E2100 chip. I made a Killer E2100 driver update and everything works fine. Thank you very much to PMDG support for this solution! Regards F.Lombardi

October 9, 201213 yr Commercial Member He's not a pirate - this is a known issue with that network card that we spent an inordinate amount of time figuring out a few years ago. The older Bigfoot driver that comes on the CD with these cards or preinstalled with systems installs its own replacement TCP/IP stack that's missing functions that the J41's SimConnect implementation uses. We contacted Bigfoot after discovering their stack was at fault for the issue and they added the needed features. For some reason even 3+ years later there's systems and boxed cards coming with that super-old driver still.
