October 1, 201213 yr I have recently re-installed my FSX deluxe edition from the 2 dvd discs. Now 2 things are happening that never happened the last time i had in installed: 1. Each time i put disc 1 in my dvd drive, it seems to want to 'repair' files or uninstall the program. This never happened when i first installed in several months ago 2. When i do get FSX up and running i can only play for a certain amount of time before i get a message saying the demo has finished ?? I have looked on google and it seems i have to activate FSX but how do i do this ?. There is a program on disc 1 titled activate.exe but this will not open. Please can someone help me ? Thanks
October 1, 201213 yr Make sure you completely uninstall FSX from you computer. Then, try to re-install. Make sure it is not installed already on a different computer. If you have a dedicted hard drive only for FSX, you can also delete that folder completly and rebuild a new one, and start a clean installation. Activation for FSX. If the current key code is not working, it will tell you when you try to activate it, and it will also give you a phone number where you can call to an automated sytem to manually activate you product key! Sounds liie you FSX files are corrupted-- Do a clean installation!

October 1, 201213 yr Uninstall. Do a search on your computer to make sure it is gone. Install. Activate license key on inside of FSX case when prompted on initial run. October 1, 201213 yr Did you uninstall the demo before installing FSX? That must be completely uninstalled first. If this is the case, you need to uninstall everything and delete all FSX files in hidden folders, etc. Then clean the registry before reinstalling. Whenever you put Disk 1 into your DVD drive, you will always get the option to repair or uninstall (that's good). Why are you putting Disk 1 into the computer after FSX is installed? You do not have to keep the disk in your drive like in FS9. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource!
