I'm having the older F33 for FS2004 since long time and so I decided to buy the fresh and new F33 for FS2004. It has no 2D Panel which is really bad for me as I'm mostly flying in the 2D except some situations.

 

Is there a possibility to merge the 2D Panel into the newer F33? I already tried some easy and simple copy and paste and it was okay. But I can't open the "Configurator",Manual etc.

 

Also the 2D Panel seems very "high", I can't look above for taxi.

I do not have the FS9 F33, so may not have the answers you are looking for, but here are some thoughts..

 

First of all, why not forget about the 2d panel? The new VC is really nice and should give you everything you need..

 

Secondly, regarding the high panel, try adjusting the first parameter in view fwd dir, and see if that helps (in the panel.cfg file).

Lastly, can you not open the various windows, using shift-2, shift-3 etc?
