October 3, 201213 yr Is there anyway you can fiddle around with the strength of the fsx light bloom feature, ie make it less noticeable
October 3, 201213 yr Yes - see the DX10 forum, Ian.... Steve has an "adjustment" for it.. If you can't find it, leave a post and I'll dig it out tomorrow morning (EST) i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
October 3, 201213 yr Nope: sorry, Ian.. I don't see a repeat of Steve's DX10 bloom adjustment code anywhere in any of the .fxh files. :( Given that bloom in DX9 is a frame killer, it's probably better to use the ENB Series mod anyway, so that you can adjust any of the features? You could ask Steve about it on his blog: - http://stevesfsxanalysis.wordpress.com/ He will answer quite quickly. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
October 3, 201213 yr ENB is DX9-only. I find bloom to be overdone as the OP does, toning it down would help but some things like the sun for instance just never look right.
October 3, 201213 yr These fields in the Display section of the fsx.cfg file will affect the level of light for runway, approach and strobes. Beware these will also affect the brightness when Bloom is off, so you may need different setting when you fly with Bloom off. I myself don't like the Bloom effect, and don't use it.
