So when you add a new aircraft, and under the aircraft setup- the first thing says Registration and theres a pink box.

 

am I suppose to put something here or just type anything?

You would normally type the aircraft registration in this field.

Yes. Registration refers to the aircraft's tail number (aka "N"-number in the states).
