  1. I believe you are not to replace the orginal but place the new one in the root fsx folder. Jeff Smith Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2
  2. You would normally type the aircraft registration in this field. Visit www.rzjets.net for an idea. Jeff Smith Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2
  3. Hmmm, It did pause at TOD on both occasions. How does that affect the voice? I must have missed that in the manual and forums. You've peaked my curiosity Bryan. Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2
  4. Hi Bryan, I'm a user of FS2 Crew for PMDG 744X voice and NGX voice for over 6 months now. I've been flying the 744 with FS2 crew the past 10 flights over 2 months and have noticed in last 2 flights that the First Officer is not saying anything during Landing and Shut Down. He normally repeats my flap calls during landing, but the last thing I heard him say was Landing Data Set after passing 10,000 feet. I make my commands and the system recognizes and does them, but with no voice feedback. The FO doesn't say anything until after I land and call for the After Landing Checklist. And when I get to the gate for the shut down, he doesn't say the checklist. I can hear the groundcrew telling me the chocks are in, but FO doesn't say anything. If I pretend he says the checklist and respond with the challenge, when I get to the last shutdown checklist item, the system changes to SECURE AIRCRAFT. I've seen something similar in the forums, but can't remember if it was in the 744 or NGX. Any help appreciated. Thanks Jeff Smith
  5. Where? I know co-pilot in NGX does this, but where or how do you enable this feature in the 747-400X? Jeff Smith Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2
  6. Jan, It's the FSX default ATIS as stated above. Here is how I dealt with it: Go to FSX sound options and uncheck the voice box. Best Regards Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2
  7. Check out www.seatguru.com for feedback from passengers' experience with Lufthansa and other airlines regarding seat location on their different fleet aircraft and many configurations. Jeff Smith Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2
  8. Peter, Thanks for that info :) I never knew it could be done that way. Jeff Smith
  9. Basically subtract 30 from your current distance to next waypoint and install an along track bearing distance waypoint in the FMC. E.G. 80 miles to run to OSI vortac.... ATC wants me at 8000 feet in 30 miles from current position. 80-30=50. That's the distance from the OSI vor that I should be at 8000 feet. If I'm tracking heading 090, than the bearing from OSI is 270. Enter in the FMC in this format FFFFFRRR/DD Where: FFFFF is the Fix name up to 5 characters RRR is the bearing or radial and must be 3 characters (include leading zero's if any) DD is the distance up to 2 characters example of above scenario. I would enter OSI270/50 as my waypoint to be at 8000 feet. Jeff Smith
  10. I can only comment on your last question. What you have here is a bearing distance waypoint RWY27 - FIX 060 - RADIAL FROM FIX /22 - DISTANCE FROM FIX Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2
  11. Mark, Do you mean the switch doesn't work? Jeff Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2
  12. On the PMDG 737.... switch from inches to hpa. It's located on th knob where you set the STD baro Jeff Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2
  13. Change your Barometer from Inches to Hecto Pascals. You still have to say Altimeter 1013 and NOT QNH as it doesn't recognize QNH. Jeff Smith
  14. Hi. Topcat works great for pax, cargo and total payload weights. I use it to get my payload weight to enter into vroute. Jeff Smith Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2
  15. Hi, The FO does only 2 things on the mcp & center pedestal during preflight. He turns on FD on his side and switches autobrake to RTO. Everything else is done by you. And no the FO cannot set headings, speeds, altitudes, or frequencies. Yes, this version is very different than the NGX, but it is still good to fly. The tutorial and manual can explain further. Have a good flight. Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2

  18. Hello DLH_FRA, Enter your EET in the remarks section #11 e.g. EET/CZQX0104 EGGX0448 EISN0453 EGPX0511 EGTT0556 EHAA0627 EDWW0630 REG/N270WA SEL/DEAG RTF/WORLD PER/D NAV/RNP4 GPSRNAV RMK/ACARS EQUIPPED TCAS EQUIPPED There should be enough room for the characters in that field. I've not had a problem with a limitation there. But than I've never pre-filed on the site before. I file my plan through my pilot cleint squawkbox where I download the file of my routes from a freeware program such as vroute and than I edit the file to include my standard remarks, which is character limited in the squawkbox program. 19. +1. Envious....... and I would too!!!!! Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2
  20. For real.......also hit shift+p......and if you hear the tug after that and start moving again while the ground crew tell you to set parking brake.......hit shift+p again and after you stop a second time say "parking brake set"..... Jeff Smith Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2
  21. Bryan, How do ou set the DH if it says 1.530 feet? It only goes as high as 999. Jeff Smith Please disregard..... I figured it out after wheeling up past 999. Jeff Smith
  22. VNAV button - pg 3 - select FORECAST bottom right - enter TL in scratchpad and place it top left where you see FL180. format is same as FL, not altitude in feet. Jeff S Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk
  23. I create bearing/distance waypoints from arc entry to exit. Just increase or decrease bearing by 10 degrees until exit. Keep it in LNAV and you will fly the perfect arc everytime. Jeff Smith Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk
  24. Another good utility for passengers, weights, and fuel loads is Topcat. The freeware version gives you this for the 744 only. If you want to use the takeoff and landing pages it requires purchasing a license, but it's extremely worth it. See you tomorrow in Krakow ^_^Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk
