AlacrityPC Setup Questions

Featured Replies

Howdy,

I posted in this forum because AlacrityPC was recommended in this forum and its fans seem to hang out here. I have used Gamebooster for a while and I used FSAutostart a long time ago.

I have run through setting up the services and programs tabs but I am a little confused about its operation. I set the icon to FSX but when I run it, it shuts everything down and seems to restart everything. I am guessing that I have not set up programs to monitor properly. I have noting in the auto start window at this point because I want it to shut everything down but I want to start FSX manually. I use a external FPS limiter and I occasionally use Shade. The FPS limiter starts FSX from a different icon and Shade needs to be run before FSX starts.

Can anyone tell me how I need to set up the monitored programs so it sill start FSX through the FPS limiter and give me the option to run shade when I want to use it?

Thanks.

BTW, it does look like AlacrityPC frees up a lot more resources than game booster so I would like to get this thing running properly.

This is the CTD forum. I think you wanted this in the FSX Forum?

Can you move it please? As I said, I posted it here because this is the only forum where it was suggested to me. I can also repost if needed.

I don't have the capability to move anything in this forum. I would repost in the FSX forum. I was looking at the AlacrityPC configuration guide and it appears to be very thorough and clear - http://snomhf.exofire.net/alacrityPC.html - but I can see how the external FPS limiter operation might be confusing. Isn't this simply a program that shuts down certain services that are not needed while using FSX. It shouldn't affect FSX or any external fps limiter whatsoever. FSX and all the programs associated with FSX should be run as they don't need any of the services you shutdown.

Best regards,

Jim
