Hi guys I was wondering if you could help me out with a Military AI question. I have Ultimate Traffic II for FSX and along with the updated schedules it fits my needs perfectly. However here is my problem. Every so often on VATSIM I will be flying up to a place like Fairbanks and they got guys with C-130s taking off to some other airport. Because Ultimate Traffic II does not have Military traffic, FSINN just turns them into a Civiliar plane. Usually at Bombadier or a Learjet.

 

I know about the Military packs like from World of AI etc. However I do not need AI traffic or alot of different models. All I am basically looking for is 5 AI Military planes I can add to FSX. This way when I see a c-130 at an aiport im landing at i can manually select that pilot on vatsim and turn his aircraft into a c-130. I dont need ai plans or the planes flying around. just need them in the libary.

 

F14, F16, F18, C-5, C17, C-130 will cover most of what I see flying around on VATSIM in US Airspace. So what I would like to do is just find these 6 aircraft download and drop them in my airplanes folder with a minimum of fuss. lol. Would consider a pack if they have one that ads all the US Military types.

 

Anyone have any suggestions?

Check out militaryaiworks.com, they have packages that contain all the models you need. You may have to install the package to a temporary folder and then just take the model you want out and add it to your sim. All of their models are first rate and worth checking out.

+1 for militaryaiworks. Had it installed with WOAI, quite a long time, and I loved it.

I went back there several times to MilitaryAIWorks but it's very confusing since they have so many different airbases, ai flight plans etc. Each package seems to be related to a specific squadron or area. In addition to that they all are made for FS9 and a tool needs to be used to convert them etc. I don't want to spend a lot of time with this.

 

The reason I started the post was to see if I could find somebody that already had a comple generic US Military F14, F15. F16, F18, C-5, C17, C-130 aircraft already ported over to FSX and something I could just drop in my Airplanes folder and be done with.

 

I don't need any airbases, ai flight plans, etc. Just the basic aircraft models so whenever I see a C-130 on Vatsim that is at the same airport I am I can use FSINN and turn it into a C-130.

 

One of the reasons I bought Ultimate Traffic II was to avoid all the trouble of collecting all those civillian airliners packs. Now with FSINN I can use all the models from Ultimate Traffic II for displaying Vatsim traffic. I want to do the same for the 7 Military planes above.

 

If any of you have a collection of Miltary planes that have already been coverted and can be dropped into the Airplanes folder please send me a PM/ This would save me a lot of Time and I would appreciate it much.

Are you using DX10 or why would you need to port them over to FSX?

If you just want the models, and don't use DX10, you can still use the MilitaryAIWorks models. You'll have to install the packages to a dummy FS9 file, anyways, as far as I remember, and then you just copy the models over to FSX.

Here's a link to all the packages, there's also a description, which aircraft are included. I guess as long as you only want the models to show, not paying too much attention to the correct livery, this will work fine (but I don't know for sure).
