October 16, 201213 yr I was wondering if anyone can provide any input. I have recently upgraded to FSX and part way through building a new rig. I am still to purchase a decent GPU but have loaded FSX and a couple of addons in preperation. I have however one small problem, most 2D pop out panels on any aircraft are in low resolution I have tried playing with display settings, and as you can see from the lower part of the image the VC views are fine, I am just wondering if I am missing something, or Intel onboard 4000 graphics are the culprit? Never had such problems with FS9 and I am due to purchase a 560/660 nvidia card next week, but wondering if this is related to something else?
October 16, 201213 yr I heard on-board graphics do not work well with FSX. Best regards, Jim This is an automatic message. October 17, 201213 yr Well, you can make panel gauges smaller through the panel.cfg. That will make them look sharper if not too small. Other than that - better graphic card or payware aircraft panels. Switchboard - Track Your Simulator Add-ons - Throttle Quadrant
October 17, 201213 yr Author That is from PMDG NGX and the FMC is already pretty small... I'm thinking its a lack of seperate GPU causing this as its all 2D panels, I've just never seen anything like this before in FS2004 and was under the impression the 2D panels were very similar if not the same
October 19, 201213 yr A thought hit me: Take a look at the panel.cfg and look for the fmc gauge. The entry should be similar to this one. gauge07=Airbus_A321!mfd, 264,521,215,214 The first two numbers give the position on the screen. The other two define size. Now if a gauge is configured to a size other than default, it might look weird. So if those two numbers are present, try deleting them which will result in the gauge being default size. For my example it would be: gauge07=Airbus_A321!mfd, 264,521 Don't forget to backup your panel.cfg before modifying. Switchboard - Track Your Simulator Add-ons - Throttle Quadrant
