Duplicating gauge changes from the C90

Featured Replies

If you made changes to some of the C90 gauges and miss them

in the B200, you may well be able to use the C90 gauges in the B200 panel.

I'm using the EADI, EHSI, Autopilot, and EX500 from the C90, simply

by changing the gauge names in the panel.cfg file.

This saves having to go and figure out what xml files need to be changed..

Be aware that some clickspots were added in the B200 panel, like the

EHSI that is covered by an Autopilot popup. You can adjust those

for location and size (or disable them) if need be.

Hey Bert,

I thought my knowledge on gauge edits had improved but I'm stumped.  I haven't flown the C90 in a while but recently installed it again and applied your xml tweaks which make it possible to select HDG and CRS changes on the EHSI.

I edited the B200 panel.cfg to use the C90 EHSI guage but I'm not able to change the HDG or CRS in the same manner.  I don't fly in 2D or use any pop-ups, so many of your edits for Carenado stuff, I only actually make changes to the VC sections.

So in this case, the original B200 is:

[Vcockpit05]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=1024,1024
visible=0
pixel_size=1024,1024
texture=$Panel_5

gauge00=EX500_B200!EX500_config,    0,  0,   1,  1
gauge01=EX500_B200!EX500_3D,        0,512, 513, 411
gauge02=B200KA!ToggleCARG500,      64,512, 448, 64
gauge03=EFISB200!EFIS_3D,                       0,  0, 512,512
gauge04=GAUGEB200EFIS!Gauge_EFIS84_EHSI_3D,      512,  0, 512,512
gauge05=B200KA!ToggleEFIS,                      0,  0, 512, 512
gauge06=B200KA!ToggleAUTOPILOT,               512,  0, 512, 512
gauge07=GAUGEB200!Gauge_VSI_DIGITAL,          514, 513, 320,320
gauge08=B200KA!ToggleAUTOPILOT,               515, 513, 64, 64

and I have edited it to:

[Vcockpit05]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=1024,1024
visible=0
pixel_size=1024,1024
texture=$Panel_5

gauge00=EX500_B200!EX500_config,    0,  0,   1,  1
gauge01=EX500_B200!EX500_3D,        0,512, 513, 411
//gauge02=B200KA!ToggleCARG500,      64,512, 448, 64
gauge03=EFISB200!EFIS_3D,                       0,  0, 512,512
gauge04=GAUGEC90EFIS!Gauge_EFIS84_EHSI_3D,      512,  0, 512,512
//gauge05=B200KA!ToggleEFIS,                      0,  0, 512, 512
//gauge06=B200KA!ToggleAUTOPILOT,               512,  0, 512, 512
gauge07=GAUGEB200!Gauge_VSI_DIGITAL,          514, 513, 320,320
//gauge08=B200KA!ToggleAUTOPILOT,               515, 513, 64, 64

In gauge03, I also tried to use the C90 EFIS but neither option works.  I get no click spots when trying to adjust the heading or course.  I disabled "//" the toggles in the 2D sections just to be sure.  It works correct when I'm the the C90 but not in the B200.  Any thoughts?

Thanks!

You may have some clickspots hidden - unless you turn off Instrument Reflections.

[Vcockpit05]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=1024,1024
visible=0
pixel_size=1024,1024
texture=$Panel_5

gauge00=EX500_C90!EX500_config,    0,  0,   1,  1
gauge01=EX500_C90!EX500_3D,        0,512, 513, 411
gauge03=EFISC90!EFIS_3D,                       0,  0, 512,512
gauge04=GAUGEC90EFIS!Gauge_EFIS84_EHSI,      512,  0, 512,512
gauge05=GAUGEB200!Gauge_VSI_DIGITAL,          514, 513, 320,320
gauge09=Controls!Control_Init, 0,0,1,1

Gauge09 is what I have set up to turn off the Reflections, but you can do it by hand in the

Configuration panel (shift-3 or 4..)

Bert

That was the trick! The reflections... Embarrassed that I skipped over that small detail. Thanks!
