configuring NGX for circuits?

Featured Replies

Is there a real life way of configuring the PMDG NGX for circuit pratice? I.E touch and gos, or go-around pratice?

What I mean is how would you configure the CDU/FMC for this. I'm have put my own settings in for now. For example Origin/Des both are the same airport identifier. I put the zero fuel weight in as norma and PERF settings, as I need an idea of rotate speeds, and trim settings.

In a nut shell, what is the best flying technique here?

It's best to set performance data to FMC in order to have Vref.

You can use flight pattern described in FCTM 5.80. For it you don't need to enter other data in FMC. I think this would be mostly flown.

On your own descretion you can use FIX INFO.

If you want to enter route, then select approach (edit the legs comfortable for you) in FMC and usually you will have approach and go-around route displayed on ND. More work here and you have to re-enter them every time.

Practice manually entering in nav references in the FMC so that you can fly your circuits more accurately?! Tutorial 2 a good learning reference...
