ATI HD5870 vs nVidia 660TI

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am looking into ways to improve the FSX performance of my system ([email protected]) both in fps as well as graphical.

Can someone give some indication what I can expect when I replace my HD5870 graphics arms by a 660TI?

Thanks

In clouds and heavy AA, the 660Ti will blow away the 5870. Also, at airports that are more GPU intensive, (FSDT KLAX), your FPS will also increase by a good margin.(maybe 20%)

Really? I mean, I have a 5870 but I've always been pretty content. I might consider an upgrade if the performance would really be that much better...Dunno. I always figured my performance setbacks were due to my processor.

Please read my other post carefully.

*GPU intensive* scenarios...
