October 23, 201213 yr Hi all- Not sure if I'm in the right forum but here goes. I'm flying more and more with photo scenery and have autogen backed off to sparse. Would turning AG all the way off affect objects at the major airports I fly into? I can't seem to detect a difference with AG set at sparse, but I then again, I don't know how developers use AG at airports, if at all. Thanks, Mark
October 23, 201213 yr Generally buildings and other objects on airport are not autogen. They are either library objects or generic buildings. So changing the AG setting will not affect them. The most likely effect will be on the areas immediately surrounding the airport. Vegitation will certainly start to disappear as you turn down the AG. October 24, 201213 yr Autogen is associated mainly with landclass texture tiles. It can also be used with photo-scenery. I find it is useful for vegetation (trees) in particular in photo scenery background for airports (assuming there are trees in the airport vicinity. I sometimes will use it for residential buildings near the airport, but for the most part airport buildings will be placed scenery objects not affected by autogen slider. scott s. .
