A couple of nights ago I ran into this nice swiss-knife type utility that enables FS10 or you can go back to FS9 - http://forum.avsim.net/topic/390651-flusifix-2006-utility-and-debug-error-in-fsx/ without having to startup FSX, enable DX10, close FSX and restart. It's a German developer and I have a link to a site that provides all of its capabilities in English. Of course it's freeware. Thought I'd pass this on as it has a ton of other functions too (like automatically taxiiing you to your runway at the proper speeds).

Best regards,

Jim
