November 12, 201213 yr would be a very welcomed addition to my Carenado fleet for X-Plane10 too :-) Anyone knows if it is planned ? November 12, 201213 yr I think before the B200, some decent GPS panels wouldn't go amiss. That default GNS430 is just rubbish. If we could have the same GPS avionics panels offered in their FSX equivalents then that would be a big step up. One example is the PA46T Malibu - their PFD / MFD looks fantastic.
November 12, 201213 yr It was brought up on the xsim reviews blog a few days ago when the skymaster was released. Dan Klaue said "not yet". They are trying to do all the carenado plane and working their way up to the more complex glass cockpit aircraft. He mentioned SASL ( not sure if I got that right,) but it's something being developed by a 3rd party and is what they are waiting for to do these glass cockpit planes in x-plane. Rob

Read the comment; http://xsimreviews.com/2012/11/06/xsimreviews-alert-carenado-c337h-hd-series-skymaster-released/#comments "For those who don’t know yet, we are making our way towards the new FSX releases, and we’re trying not to skip too many planes along the way. No point making a plane that was released yesterday on FSX, and skip 10 other planes that we’ll have to go back on, because they were left out. That wouldn’t make much sense, because things move from simple to more complex… and the complex releases build upon the experience and infrastructure gained in simpler ones. Now, as you mention, it’s not only money, but also time. It takes time to even create the infrastructure in X-Plane (something FSX already has… in its XML scripting platform) to create more believable, functional glass cockpits. SASL is perhaps one of the closer X-Plane equivalents to XML, but SASL is being developed by third-parties (not Laminar), and is not quite ready for glass-cockpit primetime… and even if it WERE, we’d still be looking at quite a long period of development time. So: not yet. There’s lots of infrastructure work needed to pave the way. Maybe it won’t cost as much as you think in dollars, but maybe you’ll have to pay in a different currency: waiting time. In the mean time, consider supporting Sam256′s efforts to improve SASL with a contribution to his efforts." AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, RTX 4080S, Ram - 32GB, 32" 4K Monitor, WIN 11. Eric Escobar
November 12, 201213 yr Author Thx for the feedback.... Yes, I find that default KLN430 very poor compared to what is offered by default in FSX, but SASL is promissing, and if we look at what was achieved, for instance, with the IL-14, I think it's just a question of time, and stability in the X-Plane10 series, most certainly after the 64 bit versions is released, until we may start seeing this level of sophistication in X-Plane10 too... At least I hope so :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
