I'm in the middle of re-installing and I've hardly got anywhere, just installed UTX USA as the first addon and I loaded up FSX but I am getting a black menu screen. This never used to happen to me before I had to re-install. I don't know what to do. I am using nvidia inspector settings and have the latest drivers installed for my GTX 580.

 

Can anybody help me please?

What did it look like when had just installed FSX (no SP's)? Then after each SP?

I don't have REX installed, I just installed Ultimate Terrain X USA as the first addon and then this happened. So disheartening when this happens straight away,

 

ANybody else have problems with Nvidia drivers 306.97 for the 500 series?

Great now I tried to do a repair through the installation cd and tried loading fsx up but now it won't even load, instead i get a fatal error. I don't get how by installing one addon this is happeneing when it worked fine before?

You shouldn't have tried a repair since FSX wasn't your problem. You should have un-installed UTX to verify it was the problem. If a re-install again caused the same problem, I would contact NickN for help. Him, and his crew, are very very good.

Thanks for the comment. The settings I put in were the settings I had used before I re-installed FSX...

It looks like you took your previous FSX.cfg and imported it to the reinstall of FSX. You can't do that. Delete your FSX config, restart FSX and let the config rebuild.

May I also suggest, you check your dll.xml file for errors.
