Huge storm floating through Toowoomba (YTWB) to Brisbane (YBBN) at the moment 0750GMT and the weather at YTWB is few clouds at 8200ft...

Darwin (YPDN) weather looks about right on the weather radar...

Also I've noticed that you've got Bamaga (YBAM) weather station right next too Amberley (YAMB) on the Map screen.

Bamaga is at the top of the Cape York Peninsula in Queensland.

All wx engines are dependant on the metar feed.

The NOAA website does not list any weather for YTWB and last i looked all there is in TWB is an automated station.

The metar at YAMB looks interesting, though!

Yup, it is about to hit my house, pity weather engines dont use the BOM feed, mind you, after a good tropical hit, most go out of line, so either way, you cant win.

That would be because the YBBN area metars are showing the storm.

C'est la vie! It is quite a show too, my dog is about to have a heart attack!

Ah yes, here comes the wind and hail. *sigh*

Thanks for the awesome light show Hifi :)

Did a YBBN to YBMK run off runway 01.

Storm was to the north and north west so I was able to fly out over the ocean with no worries, RL jets are still landing at Brissie as I type this on the 19 ILS.
