November 19, 201213 yr Author It is definitely the right time; the day however shouldn't matter because as you would have noticed in my flightplans*.txt, it is set for every day. I only did the one aircraft with the one flightplan to easily identify any problems. Obviously, I can't check at the other end, because trying to find a specific UAL plane at LAX... Here are both my traffic*.bgl files, in both FS9 and FSX format, if anyone wants to test. Note the file name PEIR; I originally started with that airport, but did not bother to rename when I changed to CYNS. ...Sorry forgot to attach files (coming soon... can't attach BGLs here) Recent Flights: 18-5-2018 QF147: SYD-AKL (ZK-ZQG) 27-5-2018 EK413: CHC-SYD (A6-EUI)
November 19, 201213 yr Author The BGLs are now available on my SkyDrive (the .zip contains both FS9 and FSX BGLs): https://skydrive.liv...ACq6dhkFD4OKRwY To easily get the aircraft, download the United Airlines flightplans from World of AI, CYNS available here Recent Flights: 18-5-2018 QF147: SYD-AKL (ZK-ZQG) 27-5-2018 EK413: CHC-SYD (A6-EUI)
November 19, 201213 yr Moderator Ok, after having another look, I noticed that in the 3 .txt files you posted, in the "Flightplans*.txt" it looks like you have not compiled it to an FSX .traffic file format since the FSXDAYS is set to FALSE rather than true as shown in the example below. Flightplans*.txt //FSXDAYS=FALSE So, when running a traffic file in FS9 format the week starts on Sunday which is day "0" and in FSX format the week starts on Monday which is the day "0" Given that, maybe the days you are looking for the traffic it might not be where you think it should be since the days are one behind. So according to your flight plan the 777 departs LAX Sunday at 7:00 GMT and arrives at CYNS at 12:26 GMT. Then leaves CYNS Sunday at 15:00 GMT and arrives at LAX at 20:23 GMT, etc, etc. Maybe since the days are still in FS9 format your not looking at the right day of the week. Another thing to consider is if all your other AI you have running is in FSX format traffic files or in FS9 format. If you mix the traffic with some in FS9 format and some in FSX format it will also cause some not to show. Aside from that everthing else looks fine. I checked your aircraft .cfg to make sure the "Title" matched up with what you have in the Aircraft .txt. Also, make sure your checking at the right time since the times in the traffic files are in GMT not local time. So your 777 should be at CYNS at 12:26 GMT on Sunday, not 12.26 am or 12:26 PM, but GMT time. Can't think of anything else to suggest other than that. November 21, 201213 yr Author sorry, was looking at the wrong time, working again now. Recent Flights: 18-5-2018 QF147: SYD-AKL (ZK-ZQG) 27-5-2018 EK413: CHC-SYD (A6-EUI)
November 21, 201213 yr Moderator THANKYOU!!! I set the time to 12:26 GMT, and, voila! my aircraft appeared. Thankyou everyone for your help sorry, was looking at the wrong time, working again now. Glad you got it sorted on both accounts. It can be confusing at times, that's for sure. When I started writting some of my own custom flight plans using other existing models/paints, I made some errors by not using the correct titles for the a/c and of course with the times being in GMT, I was stumped why my traffic was not showing up. Now when I write flight plans I make sure to convert the GMT to local time so that its easier to judge what time of the day I want my flights to start or arrive. Good luck with your flight plans going forward. I have gone thru spells where adding AI and making flight plans became a hobby in itself. Anytime I would go to an airport that I didn't usually visit and I would spot a/c there that I didn't see in the sim I would make a mental note of it and add it when I got home. Being that I live near and fly out of KDFW a lot in real life I am always tweaking my AI to match what the airport has in real life, especially when new carriers are added. For example, not long ago Qantas, Jet Blue, and Emirates began flying out of KDFW and there was no downloadable AI flights for those carriers, so I had to create my own and edit the AFCAD for the airport to place those aircraft where I would see them in real life and at the same times. A lot of work can go into it but the results can bring a bit of satisfaction when your done. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
January 27, 201313 yr Author I now have a problem with my traffic suddenly, some will show up and some won't. I'm at AMS in FS right now and there is only one AI plane but yesterday at TPE there was a reasonable amount. It's almost as if the sim is picking which planes it wants to show. WTH? PLEASE help.
