November 17, 201213 yr Hi I am having a problem with AI traffic. I created custom traffic for a custom airport (downloaded from AVSIM - airport code PEIR), however the traffic is not showing. This is not another FS9 v FSX traffic issue, as I have tried it in both formats, and its not aircraft shadows either, because I have had that issue before and that just makes the AI aircraft invisible. When I right click I get: Cockpit, Outside, Tower, Runway, Aircraft. No Air Traffic. ?????? November 19, 201213 yr Moderator I created custom traffic.... If you did the custom flight plans yourself maybe there is an error or errors in the 3 parts of the .txt files that get complied to make the actual traffic .bgl. Maybe the titles of the paints are incorrect, the airport data is incorrect, etc. I've made a lot of custom flight plans myself by hand and then went into the sim only to find the traffic wasn't showing up and 9 times of out 10 it was because of an error in one of the 3 .txt. files that I didn't notice before I compiled it. I'd decompile the traffic .bgl(s) you made and make sure the a/c names match the titles in the aircraft .cfg's texture section that you are using for AI. It appears that the airport PEIR doesn't have any flight plans going to it, but if you go to KLAX or CYNS on the given days in the plan, then you should see the UAL aircraft. Aside from the the 3 sets of info look fine as long as you actually have that model of a/c in your simobjects/aircraft folder with that paint assigned to it and the "title" matches that of the said paint. You created custom traffic for a custom airport called PEIR and its not showing. The 3 .txt files you posted dont have that airport included in them and that's why the aircraft you posted the plans for is not showing there. You need flight plans going to and from PEIR if you want the a/c to show up. There are some freeware tools available to help you make flight plans for PEIR or you can write them manually in .txt format and assign whatever a/c you want in them then compile them in TTools but you can't just write or install a random traffic file and expect traffic to show up at the airport you want.if that airport doesn't have any flight plans going to or from it. BTW, what airport is PEIR? I just did a google search for PEIR ICAO codes and didn't turn anything up. EDIT: Ah, I just found PEIR in the Avsim library. Didn't realize it was a fictional airport. When you said it was a custom airport I though you meant it was an existing airport that was customized. In that case, you will need to add it to the Airport*.txt section since its not in the data base. You will need the coordinates for the airport in like in the format below. November 19, 201213 yr I think the .cfg is irrelevant if the aircraft works in other traffic files. As per my previous Q, make sure you open the flightsim session at a time which corresponds to the aircraft being at the departure airport. It might be enroute to a destination in the plan already
