November 21, 201213 yr Just wondering does anyone switch up and fly from the co-pilot's seat from time to time? In the VC just like the real world it's diffidently a different perspective... November 21, 201213 yr Right-hand drive.... Familiar territory for we Brits!... :Big Grin: ...! (Give way to traffic approaching from the right)... ...! Paul... :Bug: ...!
November 21, 201213 yr Yeah, I usually prefer to start flying most multicrew aircraft from the right seat. Besides the different look, it feels a bit more natural since it's my current position in RL flights as well .
November 21, 201213 yr Nope. Not flying as first officer on my own planes. ^_^ Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. Live streams of my flights here.
November 21, 201213 yr Author The default for planes is always the captains seat but when checking out in a real bird (especially an airliner) you start in the right seat. When instructing you sit in the right seat as well so I started flying the sim like this and it's truly a different prospective on the birds I've flown over the years in FS9. Oddly enough I've never flown a real bird in the right seat as I'm not an instructor. November 21, 201213 yr I find that most/all of the really important bits and bobs necessary to safely fly the aircraft, are mostly situated on the left-hand side of the cockpit for quick access. It certainly suits right-handers, (me), when it come to controls, radio adjustments, switches, etc. Paul..."dressing" on the right.... ... ...! .... :Big Grin: ...!
