I am an existing FSX PMDG 737NGX simmer and recently added FS2Crew. Both great products and seem to work OK, but I have two queries:

 

1)

Originally, when it came to the Pushback stage, a tow tractor and ground crew would come out and I could watch this in the Spot view. It would do a PB with 90deg turn and stop. When completed the tractor would drive off.

Problem is,suddenly this has stopped working. Any ideas how to get it back?

(I have FSX Scenery special effects at 100%)

 

2) Centre virtual cockpit view.

My normal VC cockpit view is either the Captain or 1st Officer. However, I notice on many YouTube videos that there is a centre of cockpit virtual view --which must be much nicer to look directly up or down at the overhead and console panels.

Any ideas how to get this view?

1. "Advanced Animations" selected to On? Not sure if that's a requirement. Also try a different gate.

 

2. Ummm, not sure off hand. You can hit the "A" key to cycle through all available VC spot views.

There was bound to be a logical answer to Q1 --I just didn't think of it! Well done.

You are spot on, find a gate with the Tow Tractor waiting for you, in my case it was Sydney International. Eventually, I found Gate 51 with a Tractor --and it worked perfectly.

 

Unfortunately, Using any combination of A and S keys doesn't get the 'Centre of Cockpit' virtual view.

The creators of many YouTube videos are using EZCA, a great camera addon for VC- and Spot View.

If you use EZCA, you can move with the cursor keys through your VC and save every position!

Other commitments prevented me from spending time with the EZCA installation and setup until yesterday.

Proves there must be life outside FSX! :rolleyes:

 

I use a Logitech G510 Gaming Keyboard which has 18 game keys x 3 (=54) on the left side, and I have currently programmed 12 camera views. Attached is my default so I can scroll up to the Overhead and down to the Pedestal to keep a general eye on things --using zoom. However for landing I need to use the Pilot camera as the Heads Up display will only align itself in that view. The up-down/left-right arrow keys are an excellent feature. There's probably a whole raft of things I'll discover as I get more 'into it'.

 

I must say using PMDG 737NGX (FMC), FS2Crew and EZCA adds a whole new dimension to flight simming.
